A City of Iola work crew labors alongside Chief of Police Jared Warner and Officer Mike Ford to get one of the new playground forts placed at Lincoln Elementary. The forts were the brainchild of Mike Barnes who built the first one by himself. Several organizations and businesses around the community pitched in to help build the last three. According to Ford, several of the groups are planning on continuing the momentum, building tugboat playground equipment.
